UDIRC ESC Tool Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies only to the mobile application UDIRC ESC Tool (package name: com.udirc.escconfig).

The app is published on Google Play by SHANTOU CITY UDIRC TECHNOLOGY COMPANY LIMITED (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

This Policy describes how the app accesses, collects, uses, stores, and shares user and device data. It is provided to meet Google Play User Data and Data safety requirements.

2. What the app does

UDIRC ESC Tool is a local configuration utility. It uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to scan for, connect to, and configure compatible electronic speed controllers (ESC) that you own. ESC parameters are read from and written to your hardware over Bluetooth. The app does not require an account and does not include ads.

3. Data we access or process

The app does not include the Internet permission and does not send user data to our servers. Data stays on your phone and/or on your ESC device, except where the Android system itself handles permissions or backups.

4. Permissions

• Bluetooth / Nearby devices — required to scan, connect, and exchange ESC settings.
• Location (fine) — requested because older Android versions require it for BLE scanning. On Android 12 and later, BLE scan is declared as not used for location (neverForLocation). We do not use location APIs to determine your geographic position.

You can deny a permission in system settings. If Bluetooth or (on older Android) Location is denied, the app cannot scan or connect to an ESC.

5. How we use data

• Operate the core feature: BLE discovery, connection, and ESC configuration.
• We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or marketing.
• We do not sell personal or sensitive user data.

6. Sharing

We do not share app data with affiliates, advertisers, analytics providers, or social networks. Bluetooth communication is only between your phone and the ESC you choose to connect.

We may disclose information if required by law or a valid legal request.

Third-party code: the app uses local BLE libraries (including FastBle) that run on the device. They are not used to upload your data to our servers.

7. Security

Because the app does not transmit user data over the Internet, there is no cloud transfer to protect. Bluetooth traffic is limited to the nearby ESC you select. No security measure is perfect; keep your phone and ESC under your control.

8. Retention and deletion

• The app does not create a user account. There is no cloud profile to delete.
• Data in the app exists only on the device (and on the ESC if you wrote settings to it).
• Uninstalling UDIRC ESC Tool removes the app and its local data from the phone.
• Settings already stored on the ESC remain on that hardware until you change or reset them.
• Android cloud backup of this app’s files is disabled in the app’s backup rules.

9. Children

UDIRC ESC Tool is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where that age applies). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through this app, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. International users

This app processes configuration data locally on your device. We do not operate a cloud database for this app. If you contact us by email, your message will be received by our support team in China.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of personal data. Because this app does not upload personal data to us, most requests are fulfilled by uninstalling the app and/or resetting the ESC. You may still contact us at support@b2b.udirc.com.

California residents: we do not sell personal information from this app. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy if the app’s data practices change. The “Last updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the app after an update means you should review the new Policy.
